Greater Manchester and Yorkshire colleagues are hosting a sharing and learning community event for colleagues who are leading on the integration of physical activity and health systems within Active Partnerships.
As part of the Active Partnership Network’s collective work around health, wellbeing and inactivity, Greater Manchester and Yorkshire colleagues are hosting a sharing and learning community event, which will:
• Explore the approaches we’ve all taken so far to integrate health and physical activity.
• Hear from GM leaders, who will reflect on their personal leadership journeys as they have led this work from a health and physical activity perspective.
• Consider the evidence we have so far about what makes change happen.
• Reflect on the ways of working and approaches that we might take next, given our local circumstances and contexts.
• Develop personal, organisational and/or system intentions and actions to take back into our work.
This free session will be facilitated by Hayley Lever, GreaterSport and Sam Keighley, Yorkshire Sport Foundation, with support from colleagues. It is aimed at people who are leading on the integration of physical activity and health systems within Active Partnerships, with an invitation for you to bring colleagues from local health and care systems to learn and work together.
We're keen to engage local leaders from Greater Manchester area, from physical activity, health and VCSE sectors, to bring diverse perspectives and stories.
Those who are able to join the session in person will enjoy the opportunity to explore these topics in greater depth and build relationships with colleagues around the country working on this. We will also incorporate a walk, a lunch break (buy your own) and some post-event social time for people before trains depart.
Whole day: 10am - 4pm
Online: 10am - 12pm
