The next phase of our GM Walking and Wheeling Fund is now open for applications.
Step up your support for people to walk and wheel more with the next phase of the GM Walking and Wheeling Fund which has re-opened for applications.
Supported and administered by Salford CVS and Macc, the fund empowers and facilitates community groups to embed more walking and wheeling throughout Greater Manchester this autumn and winter.
Walking and wheeling are very accessible which is why we're determined to give everyone the opportunity for it to become a normal part of moving that bit more in everyday life.
Small and medium grants are available to voluntary, community, and social enterprise (VCSE) organisations to develop and deliver walking and wheeling (e.g. using a wheelchair/mobility aid or pushing a pram) initiatives that:
Small grants of up to £2,000 and medium grants of up to £5,000 will be available to VCSE organisations which can demonstrate their intention to work with individuals and communities that may not be already active.
In particular, we want to fund those supporting people with disabilities and/or long-term health conditions, people from diverse ethnic backgrounds, and people on a low or no income.
The GM Walking and Wheeling Fund is supported by the Greater Manchester Integrated Care Partnership so we're particularly interested in applications from organisations and projects that link in with the health and care system.
