Funding has become available to set up and deliver sustainable physical activity opportunities for veterans and their families
Moving Forces is a three year programme aiming to help military veterans, families and serving personnel to stay physically active that launched in September 2018. As the programme nears its end, funding has become available to set up and deliver sustainable physical activity opportunities for veterans and their families.
Grants of up to £2,000 are available to create space to bring veterans and their families together and to incorporate physical activity and sport into their daily lives. The focus of this funding is to create sustainable opportunities for veterans and their families to move more, as such there is not one specific way in which this funding can be used. We welcome applications from any individual or group who can create opportunities for veterans in Greater Manchester to move more.
It is important that all funding applications are made following consultation with veterans to ensure the opportunity created meets the needs of and supports local veterans.
To find out more information about the funding, and to apply, please download the supporting resources at the bottom of this page.
The deadline for applications is 12pm Friday 28th May, however we will be reviewing the applications on a first come first serve basis and as a result we may close the application window earlier than this.
Apply by emailing [email protected].
