The latest Active Lives results published by Sport England show that 65.4% of adults in Rochdale are active for at least 30 minutes a week, equating to 114,500 adults moving; a decrease of 5,000 from the survey 12 months ago.

Since Active Lives launched, November 2015-16, inactivity in Rochdale has increased by 0.1%, meanwhile in Greater Manchester the rate has increased by 2.0%, in the last 12 months it has risen by 3.2% in Rochdale.
