Job role: As Strategic Lead for Partnerships, my role is to bring partners together from across the system to work towards system change for physical activity and sport.

I’ll be working with National Governing Bodies of sport, other sport and physical activity partners and VCSE organisations to support their work in Greater Manchester and ensure sport is more inclusive for under-represented and under-served communities.

I also lead on aspects of our work around multi-sport investment and facilities, sport welfare, sporting event legacy, and our Tackling Inequalities Network.

Professional background: After graduating with a degree in Sport, Physical Education and Coaching Science and a Masters in Sport Business, Management and Policy, I spent the first two years of my career working on a national youth engagement programme.

Firstly, managing delivery of the programme locally through a football club community organisation, then working regionally supporting curriculum design and programme quality across the North-West.

I joined GM Moving in 2022 as People and Leadership Lead, helping to realise the power and potential of a movement of people that is reflective of the population to inspire, engage and support people to lead more active lives, and started as Strategic Lead for Partnerships in September 2024. 

Fun fact: I have a (slightly regretful) tattoo of Chloe Kelly celebrating the match-winning goal in the Women’s Euros final
