The latest Active Lives results published by Sport England show that 65.8% of adults in Bolton are active for at least 30 minutes a week, equating to 148,800 adults moving; an increase of 1,000 from the survey 12 months ago.

Since Active Lives launched, November 2015-16, inactivity in Bolton has increased by 5.1%, meanwhile in Greater Manchester the rate has increased by 1.2%, in the last 12 months it has decreased by 4.3% in Bolton.
The inactivity gender gap in Bolton is 2.1%Since November 15/16 the gender gap has decreased by 0.5%. This change is due to a larger increase in inactivity amongst men (+7.0%) and an increase in inactivity amongst women (+3.7%). |
